Public Speaking Competition 2016

The public speaking competition is a competition that aims to have several contestants join competition and in that competition comes with memorizing your given speeches and present yourself in a well mannered way. Your presence defines your character, and so, these contestants were deemed worthy of entering the public speaking competition finals. Each of them were persuaded that they have become the better version of themselves by joining this competition.

The public speaking competition aims to justify the means of becoming a student that is being handled by the ERC faculty. They are one of the best proffs out there that can teach the students the way of having the right aspects of becoming a professional public speaker. Even though there will come a time that the students will forget about their confidence, there will still be evidence from them that they had joined the public speaking competition.

One of the great many speakers that has presented himself is Josh the baiter. He is one of the speakers and I hope he wins because he is very nice in public speaking. He has great talents when it comes to it. I guess when you compare him to other speakers he is incomparable since they are all unique and talented.

I wonder what it feels like to speak in front of the stage and to try to remember what you had memorized in two to three pages of words that needs to be memorized. I am glad that these people have experienced the sanctity of speaking in front. These are people with God given confidences.

Speech Choir Competition

The public speaking competition was okay. There were many groups that had to prepare for it including ours. I think everyone had ultimately prepared for it since there were alot of room reservations happening around the classrooms.

A lot of people had prepared greatly for the outfits. The costume of my group was actually simple enough but we had flashlights so I guess that makes us awesome. Although the costumes of others were effortly made, they had a lot of props attached to them. For example, Abma 153 had black stripped shirts or tattered ones, and for the white costumes they made they had capes like they were angels and feathers on their heads.

I guess we all wanted to win and at the same time wanted the term to end. In the brink of waiting for the event to happen we would distinctly behave like everything would be okay, and we were actually right. Everything went fine as expected, no one got hurt, no one got injured etc.

Best part of the speech choir is that I guess most of us had enjoyed it. We would've done so much more if we had been able to practice a lot more recent compared tot the times we had practiced it.

Sana dati

Sana dati is a film is a 2013 Filipino romantic drama film written and directed by Jerrold Tarog. The film is about a woman who stalls her big wedding when a guy with a camera shows up and reminds her that she does not need to go through the process of being forced to love someone just because someone wants to. The idea of being inlove is to be in-love not force someone to be in-love.

Unlike any other tagalog films, this one is actually deemed worthy of watching since it has great content. It has a lengthy story-wise plot. The acting takes it over to the top notch and the actors did a fantastic job in taking the role for the characters. The main actors were Lovi Poe and Paulo Avelino. I think they suit the roles perfectly, it's a matter of execution and delivery which inspires other people to watch the movie.

I wish Sana Dati can be a bit less cheesy with it's film but I can't blame it since it falls under the category of Romance. I feel you and the audience but the action that it contains is just, no. I want to see more action, and by action, I mean guns-blazing action with bullets cutting down on the flesh of people. Just kidding. Of course, there are times wherein I imagine those things like "what if there had been a zombie apocalypse at the middle of the film". I bet people would enjoy that.

Paddington is a bear that can speak. It actually is a british-french animation packed with live action with real people, it uses cgi. Paddington is a 2014 British-French live action/computer animated family comedy film directed by Paul King, written by King and Hamish McColl, and produced by David Heyman. The film is filled with inventive and imaginative ways of telling its story without having that cliche feeling. The animated bear fits nicely in this idealized portrayal of London.

This is a cute movie for kids and the family. I found the plot to be a little typical and the British acting weird. Its the typical good guy bad guy plot but its not as cheesy at it seems to be. Its a good watch but I would not watch it again since its not one of my type of movies. I think Paddington is one of the most fun and charming family films of 2015. I haven't read the Paddington books so I don't know how this movie matches with the books, I don't know if it's different or not. Overall, I'd recommend renting this film and watch it with the family.

I remember when Ashley cried in the film just because of a depressing part of Paddington. I wonder what it would be like if the film became more realistic. I would find that interesting. In summary, Highly entertaining all ages family film that's filled with awesomely rendered CGI and delightful performances. It's light, awesome, cute and funny and well worth the time invested in watching it just for once.

Bomba Night 2016

The BOMBA NIGHT 2016 is fun. I got to experience the crowd and got to see some of my friend enjoy themselves in the midst of chaos under the ceiling of the cafeteria. Joke. We had a really great time in Bomba night since the night was full of ravings and band performances here and there. There were also people. I like how the people raved around the cafeteria

People seemed so happy during the party. People were actually having a blast in front of the performing band. We were actually in the corner of the room, viewing the crowd and seeing them head bang and all. It was a sight to see. Such wonders, how people seem to forget their own problems and focus on what was happening for the moment.

I don't know the names of the bands that performed but they were awesome. Especially the first band that performed. They actually had decent songs and I think it was self written but im not sure so I wont assume that it's self written because I do not want to be an assumer.

Mr. and Ms. Soma 2016

Mr. and Ms. Soma 2016 was a nice event. I think the candidates did their job well and it seems that they enjoyed the time being with together as much as how they enjoyed going up on that stage. 31st of March was the Coronation night for these young people and they put up great smiles on their faces when they walked on that stage.

SOMA short for School of Multimedia Arts is a course for people who aspire into becoming professional artists in the future. They bring a sense of creativity when it comes to self expression and I think the world would be dull without them. Mr. and Ms. Soma 2016 seems enjoyable enough, even for the audience since they're there to see one of their friends go up on that stage, meaning their friend is a candidate of the event so they are on full support.

Above you can see the winners of Mr. and Ms. Soma or so I should say that they are Mr. and Ms. Soma 2016. Leo Guinid and Megan Olpindo. Both deserve the titles as they have the attributes of becoming Mr. and Ms. SOMA 2016. Leo Guinid has that Charming and intelligent vibe in him, he does english all the time although he can understand tagalog very well. Megan is nice and funny. Though I admire all of the candidates since they all did it for the experience and for fun.

Overboard film.jpgOverboard is a 1987 American romantic-comedy film which stars Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel. The film opens with Joanna Stayton (Goldie Hawn) as a spoiled heiress is pampered in life and hires Dean Proffit (Kurt Russel) to build a closet for her. Joanna is then disappointed to find the closet that has been made for her is made out of oak instead of the specific wood she wanted that she never specified in the first place. She then would argue with Proffit and in the end, pushes Proffit off the ship along with his tools. As part of the audience, this struck me the most as the level of her cruelty is most surprising and amusing as well. I got intrigued into the moment as to what will happen to Stayton in the end.

Although I felt like it was going to be a cliche movie, with all those happy endings with the pampered character becoming the selfless one and the protagonist finding the love of his life. I'd say I did see it coming although the center plot was amusing enough to let me keep watching but the cliche parts were a bit annoying to ask myself the question "why am I here?". But of course the plot is very nice to begin with. Story line kept going and going.

Dean claims her as his wife named annie. Annie gets to suffer the consequences but later on gets to enjoy her life with Dean. Annie remembers her past. Joanna leaves Dean but then realizes that she loves Dean. Joanna comes back for Dean and Dean comes back for Joanna. They both celebrate. The end. They got old.

Anti Smoking campaign. The anti smoking campaign is a campaign that is against smoking. Smokers get to be conscious of why they smoke and how they smoke when they are surrounded by these kinds of propaganda that are offered by the community. Anti smoking posters may be seen throughout locations not just in one place.

Smoking kills. Not just the smoker, but it also can affect the surroundings of the smoker. For example a smoker tries to smoke in a public restaurant. That smoker's aura can affect the people around since they are breathing the same air just as the smoker. It's a great domino effect for an individual to have themselves decay and at the same time, invites other people as well for the toxic air to be breathed upon.

Turn Left Turn Right is a joint Hong Kong-Singaporean film as stated in the wikipedia which was filmed in Taiwan. It was Directed by and at the same time produced by Johnnie To Wai-ka Fai.

The film stars Takeshi Kaneshiro, a Taiwanese-Japanese actor and singer who also stars in numerous films. As well as Gigi Leung, a Hong-kong Singer and Actress. Takeshi who takes on a role of a violinist that sheds his greatness over music. Gigi, who portrays as Eve, a writer and translator for a book publishing company. She is to translate foreign books to Chinese wherein the film shows her translating a few documents and books such as a horror novel. The two characters gets acquainted with one another in the past but was unable to advance their relationship because Eve was unable to retrieve John's number when he gave it to her since she left her bag in the train, and in the bag consisted of John's number.

The two individuals grew up to the point wherein they would meet in different places and not recognize each other until the day wherein Eve has her translated poem composition fly over the fountain waters and fortunately John was able to help her retrieve the water-soaked papers which brings them being close to each other to the point where they talk about their past and recognize each other. The two exchange phone numbers as rain starts to pour and with them not having any umbrellas, they come home soaked in the rain and the day after, they found out that the telephone number they had given to each other were also affected by the rain which makes it unreadable.

The two struggle for months in not seeing each other, passing by every opportunity to see themselves close to one another, yet unknowingly pass by. Until numerous months would pass by and at the very end both of them acquires a job they had always wanted. Before permanently leaving the apartment they were once renting, since both of them are actually at the same level of room with just one wall separating the two. The two were able to give a voice call to one another when an earthquake struck the same building, breaking the wall and revealing both individuals, completely in awe. They both hug and the film ends. The film is about destiny, it gives a representation of fate, that two people are made for one another. Hi Ella.. <3 :>

Parasyte is a science fiction live action film adapted from the 1988 manga of Hitoshi Iwaaki. Parasyte begins in the setting of japan, wherein the story involves alien like worms falling from the sky and enters the ears and noses of human beings to assume control of them by travelling to their brains. One tries to enter a teenager named Shinichi Izumi but fails to do so because of the headphones blocking the ears, decides to enter his right hand.

The two gains each other's trust as the plot continues on, as the two comes to an understanding that both of them will not survive if one of them dies. So they take on action and defend each other by fighting off other Parasytes that would threaten their existence. The movie itself did not gain much upvotes from the public, especially in the western. Someone had made an article in Kotaku about the film's flaws as well.

The movie did not level to the audience's expectations. Namely the impact of the story itself was not enough for the film as there were so many plot changes compared to the manga adaptation. As well as the character development of the story, something that the audiences would've appreciated, but somehow most of the Characters of the film were bland and uninteresting. It's another film that brings a cliche mark on the Japanese international film industry which has a taste for altering the characters and storyline that was supposed to be adapted from the manga. *Cough* Attack on titan *Cough*.

Jon Santos is a Filipino actor, comedian and impersonator who usually does a great job at impersonating celebrities and famous individuals. During february 11 2016, he was able to make a school visit and do a seminar for mostly the first years and anyone who was able to come was invited wherein the event titled "Follow Your Passion... I Did!" During the seminar, Jon Santos made a great deal about his humor and he did show us a few gags.

In his seminar, he was able to explain the principles he wants us to follow in order for us to reach for our main goals. He explained that "learning what you love will make you richer". It's true, to find yourself loving what you do will make you strive for perfection on whatever you're doing, and indeed, it will make you rich. He states that this is crucial when it comes to having a solid career. One of the principles he held in life which he explained to us was Knowledge is everything. By this, he meant that knowledge is very important as this will help you grow in life. Second principle was he stated that Follow your passion but distinguish passion between love. Further he explained that Passion can consume and love can build. Balance should be found between the two because it is very important to have balance in life.

Third principle he meant was Leave room for the divine. By divine, he referred to it as family, friends, loved ones or maybe God as well. The divine serves as an important reminder that we are humans and not machines built to work everyday. We should find a fine line between working and spending time with the "Divine". 4th Principle is Always be Grateful. Be grateful no matter what your situation is because being grateful helps you become a better person in life, it destroys any negative thoughts that would hinder you from your work. Learn to dance with life from time to time.

Now sometime in his seminar he was able to discuss the path of the higher road. To get here you must be able to have true love for oneself or to find the truth within yourself. To love yourself and at the same time let go of yourself, And to always love as this is the most important part of getting to the higher road. We should always love what we do, who we are, the people around us, love everything no matter what.

RPG Metanoia is a Filipino-made 3D-animated adventure film directed by Luis C. Suarez and produced by Ambient Media. It is the first 1 hr animated film presented in 3D. It won the 3rd as Best picture, Best sound recording and Best original Theme song. For a first 3d animated full length film, the reviews are stating the film as a great film.

The film revolves around a kid named Zero, a wanna-be kid who tries to fit in but fails to do so, takes refuge in an online game where he can be the very best compared to reality, where he fails at it. Zero plays all night to advance his skills as he faces a number of opponents as the plot goes on.

The film is an okay film. It's a good start for the 3D film animation industry but the film could've been better. Plotline should've been more less cheesy but since the plot was going center on an rpg online game, the movie plot stayed on point. The development took 5 years to make, should've expected more from a 70 budgeted film but the Animation is great overall. 8 out of 10, film needs more diversity. "The animation was okay but on the other hand, predictable, cliche, overused plot." -Raph.

What is Plagiarism? What effects does it cause? How can it affect an individual's life? As cited in plagiarism.org, plagiarism is defined as a theft of someone's personal work
and claiming the works as their own. Common cases are stealing of literary works from writers and authors. One of the example meanings taken from Merriam-Webster online dictionary,
plagiarism means "to use (another's production) without crediting the source".

Plagiarism is mainly active in the internet wherein amounts of literary works are stolen from numbers of authors. The main idea of Plagirism is to claim works as your own. An example is presented as a student is expected to write a book report about a book that his teacher assigned. The student doesn't want to read the book and is bored with the subject. He visits websites that provide reviews and book reports and he copies from each of the different book reports to create one report of his own.

Furthermore, it is stated in wikipedia that;
Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work.

Plagiarism is something that would make a person want to own something that is not even their own. Apparently plagiarism is found more in digital works and literary wherein the internet is present, it can be found. Plagiarism is found specifically in social media sites. Sites like facebook, twitter, instagram or any type where an individual can take images and post it without author reference.

Plagiarism is very flexible and anyone can get away with itif it is done right. But even so, Plagiarism should not be tolerated as it is unfair for the author who falls victims to these things.

Traditional art hates me.

Hi my name is Joshua Alexander Inocencio Oliveros, you can call me Alex. I am 18 years old turning 19 this June 16. I've lived in San Pedro Laguna for the past 17 years and had moved to makati after graduating from highschool. After moving in, my college enrollment got delayed since we had financial issues. My mom enrolled me in UPITTC/UP information technology training center instead which was an elective college and I studied there for a year.

From there I was able to study Applications development and Game design. I had the introduction of java programming and software development from the first semester wherein I experienced coding and making applications for IOS and android using swift language, C# and javascript. For the last semester I was able to focus on using UNITY engine and practice 3D modeling in blender.

Human test Rig (BLENDER)

One of the few weaknesses I have when it comes to 3D is the lack
of texture application/UV mapping. It's something that I'm working on
right now.

I started familiarizing myself with 3D modeling when I was 16 although the practices weren't consecutive, the software gave me ideas already on how to use it. Apart from 3D modeling, I also do digital art. Mostly I do my Base projects on GIMP since it's free. I use the mouse to create digital artworks, I don't have a wacom tablet yet though I'm still hoping i'd be able to get one before the year ends. Here are some of my artworks that were made during summer vacation after I finished my schooling in UPITTC. Some Artworks were relevant to a school project in my college (Asia Pacific College). Hi Ella :^)

It's not much but I'm willing to improve with every artwork I make. I'm also willing to listen to people who would give out tips and advice and by the end of the year, I'd be happy impressed with my own works.
